Hi, I’m Toni!

I’m a student midwife, holistic birthworker, and community herbalist, reclaiming the ancient ways of my ancestors through my own personal practice, tending the land, and serving in my community. I am devoted to my own healing journey, so that I may show up fully as a mother, wife, community member, and as someone who holds space for others as they navigate their own paths. I believe wholeheartedly that when we heal the mother, we heal the planet, we heal our ancestors, and we free generations to come.

I currently serve the Washington, DC Metro Area, Maryland, and Virginia. I utilize my experience as a creative with healing modalities like yoga, meditation, intuitive energy medicine, and utilizing herbs and food as medicine. While I believe deeply that our lived experiences and remembered ancestral wisdom inform our work, I have also studied formally with many teachers (see below for formal education/training). I continue to educate myself so that I may better serve my families with evidence-based care and current information on maternal health and childbirth.

My intention is to serve my community in ways that provide a path to liberation and embodiment. It is my prayer that through birth work, the mothers carrying, birthing, and raising the new generation are highly informed, supported, and feel empowered to have deeply intuitive, healthy birth/postpartum experiences and carry that same confidence into motherhood and their everyday lives.

I currently reside in Southern Maryland with my husband and 2 daughters. In my free time, you can catch me lifeschooling with my children and spending time with my family, tending my garden and making medicine, volunteering at local community gardens/farms. A few random things about me: I love 90s r&b because it was the soundtrack to my youth, I’m a southern girl at heart, my husband and I are secretly comedians, I love cooking and probably would pursue going to culinary school if I didn’t find birthwork.
